There is more to fitness than just lifting weights. With focus on strength training alone, muscles will get stronger but, given time, the tendons will get weaker without functional/stabilizing exercises, increasing the risk of tendonitis. When you build a house you always establish the foundation before you lay the bricks. Similarly, focus on building a strong core to your body as you achieve other fitness goals. A combination of strength, cardio, and flexibility exercises, together with a healthy, balanced diet will speed up your metabolic rate and give you substantial energy throughout the day to help you deal with a busy lifestyle.
